All About NHVAS Accreditation
The NHVAS (National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme) is a formal process that recognizes operators who have implemented robust safety management systems. This accreditation is increasingly being used to demonstrate compliance with general duty requirements under Road Transport Law. The NHVAS is overseen by the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR).
As a provider of NHVAS accreditation support, we offer comprehensive assistance to help you become accredited under your chosen module. The available modules include Mass Management, Maintenance Management, and Fatigue Management (Basic or Advanced).

In Western Australia, Heavy Vehicle Accreditation is mandatory for individuals and organisations that require a permit or order to perform any transport task as part of a commercial business or for profit within Western Australia, including farmers and interstate operators.Western Australia Heavy Vehicle Accreditation involves three mandatory modules:
There is one optional module which is only required to be undertaken if an operator wishes to operate within the Accredited Mass Management Scheme (AMMS).
AMCAS
The Master Code Auditing Service (AMCAS) is a subscription-based offering provided by Logistic Safety Solutions to individuals and organizations involved in the supply chain in Australia and New Zealand. AMCAS plays a crucial role in assisting various stakeholders responsible for compliance with the Chain of Responsibility (CoR) laws to establish and manage safety systems. This includes monitoring adherence to the compliance principles and guidelines outlined in the Master Code for heavy vehicle safety. It’s important to note that AMCAS is not limited to transport operators; it is specifically tailored to support other supply chain participants such as retailers, manufacturers, suppliers, distribution centers, and logistics companies in ensuring the safety of their CoR transport operations.
Parties audited by AMCAS have the opportunity to utilize the AMCAS auditing system to identify and address risks associated with their transportation activities. AMCAS connects audited entities with qualified auditors who can:
- Evaluate the implementation of safety management systems in line with CoR regulations, following the compliance principles and guidance found in the Master Code.
- Identify necessary corrective actions to be taken in accordance with the compliance principles and guidelines set forth in the Master Code.
